Alibaba.com has launched Alibaba Guaranteed, a service ensuring fixed prices, included shipping fees, and guaranteed delivery dates for cross-border trade. This aims to simplify the global sourcing process for SMBs, offering faster dispatch and robust after-sales services.
On June 6, 2024, Alibaba.com launched a new service called Alibaba Guaranteed. This service aims to simplify cross-border trade for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). The service ensures fixed prices, includes shipping fees, and guarantees delivery dates. Kuo Zhang, president of Alibaba.com, announced the launch, stating it would redefine fulfillment standards for B2B cross-border trade.
Alibaba Guaranteed offers several key features. It dispatches goods within 72 hours and handles financial aspects like escrow and payment terms. The platform also provides after-sales services such as quick refunds for issues and free local returns for defects. These features address SMBs' common concerns: delivery time, logistics costs, and product receipt assurance.
Currently, Alibaba.com serves over 48 million SMB buyers and has more than 200,000 suppliers globally. Zhang highlighted that Alibaba Guaranteed simplifies the global sourcing process, making it as easy as purchasing items online. This centralized approach reduces administrative burdens, allowing procurement teams to focus on strategic tasks.
Digital B2B marketplaces like Alibaba.com are transforming procurement. By offering platforms where businesses can easily search for products, compare prices, and place orders, these marketplaces enhance efficiency. Eddie Wu, CEO of Alibaba, emphasized the importance of trust in online shopping. Positive feedback from users reflects the company's investment in improving the user experience, as noted in their May earnings call.
