Amazon is set to open its new Ireland store, Amazon.ie, in 2025. This online store will offer customers in Ireland over 100 million products including many from local businesses. It aims to make shopping easier with low prices and fast delivery.
The first Amazon fulfilment centre opened in Dublin in 2022, creating 500 jobs. It has enabled faster delivery across Ireland, including One-Day Delivery on numerous products. This facility underpins the Amazon.ie experience by improving service efficiency.
Amazon supports over 1,000 Irish SMEs, helping them to reach larger markets. In 2022, these businesses generated more than €150M ($162M) in export sales. The new Amazon.ie will further expand their opportunities both locally and globally.
Amazon has invested over €17 billion ($18.3 billion) in Ireland since 2020, significantly enhancing the Irish economy. Additionally, Amazon Web Services has boosted Ireland’s economic output by almost €11.4 billion ($12.3 billion) in the last decade.
