B&Q collaborates with Deliveroo to provide over 600 DIY products for delivery from nine B&Q Local stores in London within 25 minutes. This partnership aims to meet the growing demand for convenience and speed in home improvement shopping.
B&Q has partnered with Deliveroo to offer on-demand delivery of over 600 DIY products to Londoners. Starting later this month, the service will be available at nine B&Q Local stores, including Camden, Harrow, Palmers Green, Streatham, Sutton, Tooting, Wandsworth, Wood Green, and Staines-Upon-Thames. This collaboration aims to provide fast and convenient access to home improvement items, delivered within 25 minutes.
The products available for delivery include interior and outdoor paint, decorating supplies, painting tools, plumbing, electricals, bathroom essentials, and various tools and hardware. This broad selection ensures that customers can quickly get the materials they need for their home improvement projects.
Amelie Gallichan-Todd, B&Q's supply and logistics director, said, "We’re constantly looking at how we can help make home improvement projects easier. This includes helping customers to get their home improvement products in the most efficient, and convenient way possible." The partnership with Deliveroo is a response to the increasing demand for speed and convenience in shopping. Since the launch of 'Deliveroo Shopping' in November 2023, customer searches for DIY products on the Deliveroo app have surged, with paint searches up by 74% and screws by 35% in the last six months.
Deliveroo's chief operating officer, Eric French, expressed enthusiasm about the partnership, stating, "We are thrilled to welcome home improvement giant B&Q to the Deliveroo platform." Deliveroo has been expanding its non-food offerings, allowing customers to shop for a wide range of products, including DIY items, homeware, toys, flowers, baby products, and gifts. This partnership with B&Q enhances Deliveroo's service, meeting the evolving needs of its customers.
