DHL eCommerce acquires a minority stake in AJEX Logistics, expanding into Saudi Arabia’s booming e-commerce parcel sector.
DHL eCommerce is expanding into Saudi Arabia by acquiring a minority stake in AJEX Logistics. AJEX, launched in 2021, has built a strong delivery network. The deal aligns with DHL's 2030 growth strategy. The agreement was signed in Riyadh on Feb 25, 2025.
Saudi Arabia’s e-commerce sector is surging under Vision 2030. The demand for reliable parcel services is rising. AJEX has over 50 locations and 900 vehicles. DHL eCommerce sees this as a prime opportunity to expand its global reach.
AJEX will continue operating while integrating DHL’s expertise. DHL will also join the Management Board. The agreement allows DHL to increase its stake in the future. Both companies aim to provide affordable and sustainable delivery services.
The deal awaits regulatory approval before completion. DHL has operated in Saudi Arabia since 1970 with its Express division. This move ensures all four of DHL’s business units are now present in the country. The Saudi logistics market is set for rapid expansion.
