Klarna now offers payment options on Apple Pay for users in the U.S. and UK, allowing them to buy items now and pay later. Klarna’s “Pay in 4” plan gives customers four installments, interest-free. With iOS 18, shoppers can select Klarna as a payment option online and in-app on Apple devices. Klarna plans to expand to Canada in the coming months.
Klarna, the global AI-powered payment service, is now accessible directly through Apple Pay, providing new flexibility for users checking out online and in-app on iPhones and iPads with iOS 18 or later. This move opens flexible, interest-free payment plans to Apple users in the U.S. and UK, aiming to make shopping smoother for millions. Klarna’s CEO, Sebastian Siemiatkowski, stated, “Consumers around the world have been asking for Klarna on Apple Pay… This is a big step toward our mission to offer Klarna at every checkout.”
Apple Pay users now see Klarna among payment options for purchases. Klarna offers a “Pay in 4” plan that splits payments over four installments, interest-free, for purchases between $35 and $2,000. Monthly financing is also available for higher-cost items, with APRs starting at 0%. Klarna’s “Pay Later” options on Apple Pay allow for greater payment flexibility, making it appealing for users accustomed to Apple’s smooth transaction process.
Starting this October, Klarna will expand beyond the U.S. and UK, aiming to add Canada soon. Klarna, with over 85M active users, is already the largest buy-now-pay-later provider worldwide, rapidly expanding through partnerships with Apple and other major brands. This Apple Pay integration aligns with Klarna’s goal to reach more users globally, making the popular BNPL model available on more devices and at more retailers.
All Klarna payments via Apple Pay maintain Apple’s security standards, including Face ID and Touch ID for authentication, and Apple does not retain transaction records for privacy. Shoppers simply select “Other Cards & Pay Later Options” and choose Klarna to enjoy these benefits. Klarna’s partnership with Apple further expands its reach in secure, flexible payments, available right in the wallet and at checkout for online and in-app purchases.
