Levi Strauss & Co. teams with o9 Solutions to create a real-time data visibility supply chain system, reducing lead times and costs. The system launched with three modules and will expand with five more in 2024-2025.
Levi Strauss & Co.’s supply chain team faced a slow, inefficient process. They had to reach out to multiple suppliers individually to identify who had the right fabric, taking more than 60 days. The lack of a holistic view made it hard to spot cost-saving opportunities.
LS&Co. partnered with o9 Solutions to create a new enterprise planning system. This system, an open marketplace, allows real-time data visibility. It shows live supply chain data, enabling teams to quickly see available materials and collaborate virtually on raw material needs.
With the new system, LS&Co. can assign orders faster and match supply to demand in real-time. It also highlights available fabrics from past seasons, reducing the need for new orders and lowering costs. This transparency optimizes the network, saving time and protecting margins.
Three system modules were launched in early 2024, with five more planned for late 2024 and early 2025. Vishal Mankotia, VP of Global Supply Planning, highlighted significant reductions in fabric and sundries liabilities. He emphasized the project’s role in enhancing supply chain processes and real-time data visibility.
