Finnish delivery company Wolt has entered a partnership with Alnatura, a major organic grocery chain in Germany. The deal, announced on October 1, 2024, comes after Alnatura decided to end its own delivery and pick-up service in September. This collaboration allows customers to access over 600 organic products through Wolt’s platform, delivering straight to their doors. Alnatura’s choice to focus on its core business, such as in-store experiences, led to this new arrangement.

As part of the collaboration, Wolt will open a new location in Berlin, expanding its delivery area. This move strengthens Wolt’s presence in Germany, a key market for the company. Berlin customers will benefit from faster deliveries, with orders arriving in approximately 35 minutes. The focus is on quick, efficient delivery, which aligns with the trend for convenience in urban markets.
🤝 A strategic realignment for Alnatura
Alnatura’s decision to stop its own delivery service is a part of its strategic realignment. The company will now prioritize its physical stores and collaborations with trading partners like Wolt. “By teaming up with Wolt, we can ensure our customers get organic products swiftly, while we focus on enhancing our core offerings,” said an Alnatura representative. This strategic shift is meant to streamline operations while meeting customer demand for convenience.
📈 Previous partnerships of Wolt
Wolt has built a reputation for collaborating with big brands. Almost a year ago, Wolt partnered with Starbucks in Germany. Earlier in 2023, it also signed a deal with McDonald’s, a partnership that Wolt’s parent company, DoorDash, had already established. These collaborations have helped Wolt grow rapidly in Germany, making it a go-to platform for fast, reliable food deliveries.
