FedEx introduces the Collaborative Shipping Tool, enabling real-time airway bill creation for importers and shippers, improving shipment pickup success and efficiency.
FedEx has unveiled the Collaborative Shipping Tool (CST) to simplify imports. This digital solution allows importers and shippers to work together on airway bill (AWB) creation. The goal? Fewer failed pickups and smoother global trade. CST is available in Asia Pacific, Europe, the U.S., Canada, the Middle East, India, and Africa. This marks another step in FedEx’s push for smarter, more efficient shipping.
Global imports are set to grow 3% in 2025, with Asia seeing a 5.1% boost. However, failed pickups and shipment visibility remain key issues for importers. According to the International Trade Centre, these inefficiencies impact operations worldwide. FedEx Philippines' Managing Director, Maribeth Espinosa, calls CST a "game-changer" for businesses looking for greater transparency and control.
CST gives importers real-time shipment tracking and improved pickup coordination. It also integrates seamlessly with FedEx’s digital tools. While the FedEx Import Tool isn’t yet available in the Philippines, it will soon offer a full suite of import management features. FedEx is also expanding its International Connect Plus service to the country, reinforcing its focus on global trade efficiency.
FedEx continues investing in digital logistics to meet global shipping demands. With CST, businesses gain more control over their supply chains, reducing delays and costs. The company is committed to innovation, ensuring its customers get the best import experience possible. As international trade grows, expect more smart tools from FedEx to simplify shipping worldwide.
