USPS launched new delivery options for volume sellers. It offers same-day and next-day shipping through Ground Advantage and Connect, reaching 87% of Americans.
On January 6, 2025, USPS announced new same-day and next-day delivery options. These services cater to businesses with daily shipping volumes. Ground Advantage "Next Day Priority" can reach 87% of the U.S. population daily—approximately 295M people. This marks a significant step in USPS's effort to provide faster and more competitive shipping services, particularly for volume sellers. The Postal Service aims to remain the top last-mile service provider.
The Next Day Priority option will deliver to homes and businesses within 150 miles of USPS Regional Processing and Distribution Centers (RPDCs). It connects to 200 Local Processing Centers (LPCs), enabling overnight delivery to Postal Delivery Units. Same-day solutions, available through USPS Connect, are designed for shipments under 10 pounds with a minimum of 10 pieces per day. Pre-approved agreements ensure streamlined operations for shippers.
USPS promises competitive pricing tailored to businesses of all sizes. Their enhanced regional and national networks aim to help shippers improve efficiency and reach. Businesses can explore customized solutions by contacting USPS sales representatives or visiting their website for detailed inquiries. With these offerings, USPS focuses on affordability and reliability, creating value for sellers.
These new options make USPS an attractive choice for e-commerce and small businesses. Faster deliveries can help businesses meet growing customer demands. The new services reinforce USPS's commitment to innovation and modern shipping needs. More details will be revealed soon as USPS continues to expand its networks.
