Apple’s Business Connect now lets all businesses, even without physical locations, manage their brand across Apple apps like Maps, Wallet, and Mail. Over 1B users can access accurate business info, driving brand visibility and trust.
Apple has expanded its Business Connect feature to include businesses without a physical presence. Now, service-based and online businesses can register, create, and customize their brand profiles. This includes managing their appearance in Apple apps like Maps, Mail, and Wallet, reaching over 1 billion Apple users globally. "We’re excited to offer all businesses — including those without a physical location — the ability to create a brand that appears across the Apple apps that over a billion people use every day," said David Dorn, Apple’s senior director of Internet Software and Services Product.
The updates allow businesses to use Branded Mail, where logos and business names appear directly in customer emails, enhancing recognition. This feature is expected to roll out later this year. Additionally, businesses can showcase their logos during Tap to Pay transactions, replacing generic category icons. Next year, Business Caller ID will further distinguish verified businesses by displaying their names and logos on inbound calls, helping customers differentiate between legitimate businesses and spam.
Business owners, including those who operate fully online, can now register through Apple’s self-service website. They can use an existing Apple account or create a new one to join Business Connect and start customizing their profiles for free. This is available on mobile devices, tablets, and desktops. For larger businesses managing multiple locations, Apple partners with listing management agencies like SOCi, Yext, and others to streamline their presence across Apple’s apps.
The ability to personalize business information on widely used Apple apps offers a significant advantage for brand visibility. For businesses, these updates mean a better chance to reach new customers and build trust. “With today’s updates, we’re helping even more businesses reach customers, build trust, and grow,” added Dorn. Apple’s efforts aim to support businesses in creating a consistent, trustworthy presence across digital touchpoints, with the ultimate goal of driving customer engagement and loyalty in the digital age.
