Shein and Forever 21 enhance their partnership with a new returns program, leveraging Happy Returns technology. This service, available across over 300 U.S. stores, facilitates easy, box-free returns.
Shein's collaboration with Forever 21 grows stronger as they introduce an innovative returns solution. As of October 2023, Shein handles design, manufacture, and distribution for Forever 21 apparel, enhancing their partnership. This strategic move includes the integration of Happy Returns' advanced BORIS technology, enabling hassle-free returns at all Forever 21 U.S. locations.
The new system developed by Happy Returns, acquired by UPS in late 2023, allows customers to return items without boxes or labels. George Chiao, Shein U.S. president, noted, "Happy Returns has pioneered a seamless, simple returns model we are excited to launch." This initiative promises a simpler return process across Forever 21’s extensive store network.
Forever 21's CEO, Winnie Park, highlights the dual benefit of the partnership: easier returns for Shein customers and increased brand exposure for Forever 21. Customers who return Shein products can also enjoy a same-day discount on Forever 21 purchases, blending convenience with savings.
Happy Returns supports this initiative with extensive logistics solutions, from generating QR codes for returns to training store staff to handle and process returns efficiently. David Sobie, CEO of Happy Returns, commented, "We're the first to enable retailers to seamlessly accept returns across their networks," highlighting the groundbreaking nature of this venture.
