Amazon's "No-Rush Shipping" is now available in Germany. Prime users get a 1% discount for choosing slower delivery, with some items eligible. Discounts can be as low as €0.24. However, not all products qualify, and delivery can take up to 8 days.
Amazon is testing "No-Rush Shipping" in Germany, coinciding with Black Week, one of the busiest shopping periods of the year. This option is exclusive to Prime members and offers a 1% discount on certain items if customers choose a slower delivery time. In a recent test, delivery times extended from 24 hours to 8 days. Amazon explained that this approach prioritizes customers with urgent needs.
Eligible items for the discount include Apple AirPods, Tasmota sockets, and electronic door locks. However, many popular products, such as Android smartphones and LCD TVs, are excluded. Discounts are minimal; for example, a martial arts accessory earned a €0.24 reduction. Customers must carefully review eligible items in their shopping carts to take advantage of the savings.
The "No-Rush Shipping" option appears to be available for all Prime subscribers in Germany. Some customers noticed this feature regardless of their location within the country. The feature's availability and the discount amounts seem dynamic and may change based on demand, especially during the holiday season.
As delivery times grow closer to Christmas, customers may find it hard to justify the minimal savings in exchange for long waits. With many shoppers requiring timely delivery during the festive season, the appeal of "No-Rush Shipping" may diminish. Yet, for those with flexibility, the option offers a small incentive to save.
